Touted as a dim sum restaurant, Chi is actually nothing like a real dim sum restaurant. There are lobster potstickers, edamame dumplings, and samosa spring rolls. But back to the scene—Chi came out of the gate as a celebrity hangout, attracting the likes of Hilary Duff, Gwen Stefani and, of course, Timberlake and Cameron Diaz.Restaurant: Chi

Although it promotes itself as a bastion of Italian peasant cuisine, Dolce is not a dining spot for the commonfolk. The restaurant is so celeb-packed that most diners go crazy with curiosity over who's in the private dining room. But Dolce is not a place merely to be seen; the food's actually recommendable. Seafood dishes are particularly strong, including grilled cuttlefish and homemade pastas. The enoteca menu offers Italian-style tapas at very affordable prices.LA.com
