A member of the paparazzi was shot outside of Britney Spears' baby shower on Saturday. He was trying to snap a few pictures of Britney Spears when he was shot in the leg. Firefighters were called to the scene and treated photographer Brad Diaz's leg, he was then transported to a local hospital for further treatment. But a Lieutenant, Steve Smith, said the injury wasn't serious and he doesn't believe it was caused by any of Britney's people.
"If there's anything below minor, that's what the injury was," Lieutenant Steve Smith of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said of Diaz's injury. Although Diaz claims the shot came from the direction of the house, Smith said Diaz may have been too far away to have been hit from the home.
"It could've been somebody driving by, walking by," he told The Associated Press. "We have no idea where it came from." Smith would not identify the home's owner.
Oh yeah, maybe I should tell you, it was a plastic bullet, shot from a pellet gun. I would have mentioned that earlier but wasn't that story little more interesting when you thought the paparazzo was shot with a real gun. Oh well, maybe next time.
