On February 27th Kanye West and his fiance Alexis Phifer attended The Little Bendel Dress Event at Henri Bendel in New York. Below you can check out pictures of them at the event along with some other designers. In the picture of Alexis with the model, the model is wearing a "Ghita" dress which apparently is from Alexis' own line. I did a quick Google check to find out a little more on Alexis and "Ghita" and this is what I learned...
Alexis Phifer is a Los Angeles based designer, who acquired her passion for design at a young age. She received her degree in fashion design from Los Angeles design school, FIDM. While she honed her technical skills in school, Alexis' true inspiration comes from a different source. Her passion stems from a vision to create a garment that can make a women feel alive. Thus "Ghita" was created, a collection consisting of unique and special one of a kind pieces...

Dreamgirls Oscar Performance...

The songs in their performance order are "Love You I Do", "Listen" and "Patience". The performance was great and the ladies looked beautiful. I really like Beyonce's dress and check out Miss Hudson's figure. She's really slimmed down. She looks good. Last night my mom and I were watching her on Barbara Walters' Oscar special and my mom was saying how she liked her because she seemed like a 'round-the-way girl. Plus it doesn't hurt that her voice is crazy...

The Vanity Fair Oscar Party
As you all know the Vanity Fair Party is the spot to be at after the Academy Awards. Under the cut you can check out pictures of all of the celebrities that made an appearance at the party. Celebrities spotted include Oprah, Mary J. Blige, Eve, Beyonce, Meryl Streep, Diddy, Kanye West, Naomi Campbell, Nicole Kidman, Will & Jada Pinkett-Smith and Tom Cruise. Looks like Mary took some of your advice and put make-up on her tattoos. They look lighter in these pictures. It also looks like Oprah ditched Gayle to hang with Mary and her husband Kendu. I would've ditched Gayle too after seeing her in that horrible dress. Anyway, it looks like they all had a great time and that's all that matters. Check out pictures below...
Pictures from the Academy Awards...
Check out pictures from the 79th Annual Academy Awards under the cut. Eddie Murphy didn't pick up the Oscar for his role in "Dreamgirls" but congratulations to Jennifer Hudson for her Best Supporting Actress win. Congrats to Forest Whitaker as well for his Best Leading Male win and to all of the other winners awarded last night. I'm sure I'm not the only person who was surprised that Eddie didn't win but I wasn't surprised that "Dreamgirls" didn't pick up the Best Song Oscar. I knew that the 3 songs nominated for that one movie would divide the votes among Oscar voters, therefore leaving room for one of the other 2 songs to sneak in and steal the win.
