Brad Pitt has formally adopted Angelina Jolie's two children as a precursor to the couple's marriage, In Touch has learned exclusively. A legal petition was filed in LA on Friday to change the children's names to Maddox and Zahara Jolie-Pitt.
As In Touch exclusively reported last week, the couple drew up a prenuptial agreement, primarily to benefit the two children, and the document includes details about the adoption.
The couple is now expected to marry soon, even though Brad's divorce from Jennifer Aniston was only finalized in October. Angelina will change her last name to Jolie-Pitt after the marriage, an insider says.
