Congratulations Carmelo & Lala!!

Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony and MTV VJ La La Vazquez are parents of a son as of 1:35 pm yesterday. Champagne and cigars all around (but not around the baby!): Nuggets all-star Carmelo Anthony and his fiancee, MTV VJ La La Vazquez, are proud parents of a baby son, Kiyan Anthony. Vazquez gave birth to the little boy at 1:35 pm yesterday. He weighs a healthy five pounds, 9 1/2 ounces and he's 18 1/2 inches long.

Anthony's agent, Calvin Andrews, told the Denver Post that he thought fatherhood would "help him mature more, see the world differently. It's been overwhelming, but he'll be fine.'' No word on how much time Vazquez will take off from her job at MTV, but it's been reported that Anthony will return to work on Friday, when the Nuggets go head-to-head with the Pistons.
