Since Monday MTV.com has been "unveiling the kings" for their list of the "Greatest MCs of All Time". They've already unveiled their choices for numbers 10-3 and they will tell their choices for the #1 and #2 slots on Friday. They also have honorable mentions but you can click the link to check that out. So far the list reads as follows:

I hate lists like this because they never really tell you what the criteria is for someone to make it on there. Is it mainstream marketability, longevity, rhyme skills, influence on the genre? Exactly what is "it" that makes them "the greatest" because I think I need some clarification on a couple of these...LOL...

I would say Jay Z and Big for the #1 spot then Pac then Nas.

In my book the Greatest Mc of all time's is Tupace Shakur,He talked about real shit,Things we go through every day not just about how much money he got or the cars he driving in....He was also kind of like a poet,When you listened to his songs you felt his pain,He described it so deeply that he took you back to that place.No other rapper could or can do that.He was also real everything he talked about he went through he didnt make it up and he didnt act like a thug he was one, most rappers today use thug life as some type of "gimmick".Jay z before tupac??
