On March 10th Alicia Keys attended the 22nd Annual National Association Of Black Owned Broadcasters Awards in Washington, DC.
The occasion was the annual awards dinner of the National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters Inc., a black-tie, $600-per-seat evening that both honors and features ridiculous amounts of talent each year. The 30-year-old organization, comprising 240 black-owned radio stations and 20 television stations, puts on the event for black-owned broadcasting outlets.

dang renay...no need to be so upset. a lot of mixed entertainers (etc.) have been recognzied by black organizations. at least she acknowleges that side all the time unlike folks like mariah who only do it when its to their advantage.

Mixed people are black. Don't trip or hate on Miss Keys. Most blacks in America are mixed with something. We're still black though. Bottom line, if one of your parents are black, so are you. Its a beautiful thing. Renay, you need therapy.

I probably look more white, but guess what, I'm still black. You'd better recognize!! The only person who's ignorant is you. When I get pulled over by the cops or followed around a store I"m not "half black". American blacks have been mixed with white blood, but we're still black!!!
