Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child is now a minority owner in the latest team to join the WNBA, "The Sky".
Fresh off what has been called the final performance of Destiny's Child, singer Michelle Williams is now part of the Sky's group of minority owners.
The Rockford native will be in Chicago next week to participate in special events for the new WNBA team.
"I'm thrilled to have a stake in the WNBA as it expands," she said. "I'm looking forward to being in the front row at Sky games and cheering them on to many championship seasons."
Congratulations Michelle!! A lot of people dismissed her with the end of Destiny's Child but Michelle is still making big moves.

I'm happy to see her creating a path for herself after destiney's child. It takes a lot to overcome being in a group where you were being over shadowed and dismissed for years.

I have always loved michelle. i always thought that she had a beautiful voice and was beautiful herself. i am VERY glad that is doing this for herself. i hope she has long standing success,and that she dont fade from the spotlight like the former members of DC did. Congrats M!!! Good luck!

I dunno about "big" moves... a big move is to be i the NBA. she's a minority owner but she looks bored at all the games I see her in? Maybe it's just how she looks?
Anyway it's good to diversify.. there's no telling if they hooked this up for her based on her celebrity as opposed to her putting in a bid to buy the team but all-in-all I hope it's profitable for her at the end of the day... Celebrities get so much opportunities it's crazy!

I have heard her sing with her sisters and she sounds incredible. She only fucks up when she is with DC. I think Tina and Matt fuck the others up on purpose so that their not-so-cute daughter stands out. She and Kelly are way better actors but because of her name B gets all the roles. It's sad.

Michelle is doing her thang and we need to congratulate her because of that. An maybe she is not trying to be like everyone else by starting a clothing line or owning a NBA team. An I've heard Michelle sing live and various concerts I've attended an she sounds GREAT. An she is very pretty but people have their own standards of beauty but she is pretty in person shes just not photogenic.
