The scoop on Nicole's real parents...
"Born on the 21st day of September in the year 1981, in Berkeley California, Nicole's biological parents were Peter Michael Escovedo and an unknown backstage assistant. (Said to be short and blond) Nicole's real father was, at the time, a part of Lionel Richie's band and cared for her until she was three years old, at which point in time Nicole began living with Lionel, allegedly for financial reasons.
Being cared-for by Lionel Richie and his then-wife, Brenda Harvey-Richie, Nicole was eventually adopted by the Richie's at the age of six, and by the time she was attending the elite Buckley School in Los Angeles she had bumped into none other than hotel heiress Paris Hilton...."
And by the way, Peter Michael Escovedo is Sheila E's brother, which makes Nicole Sheila E's niece. You can see photos of "Peter E." on Sheila's website.(Just google her name folks!)

According to Wikipedia, Sheila E. is African-American and Mexican. So I guess Nicole has that in her as well????

Sheila E said in a VIBE article that Nicole is her niece. She was a beautiful child. Can't stand to look at her too much now 'cause she's gotten so thin and she's a pretty girl.

. BTW, did Nicole have a nose job? I know she's mixed-race (like Lionel and Sheila E. and Beyonce and Will Smith and Muhammad Ali) but her nose looks different in her pictures.

she's a baby in these pics. you can't compare somebody's nose in their baby pics to their nose as a adult. check your baby pictures your nose ain't the same when you was 4 as when you are 24. some people should think
