On February 27th Kanye West and his fiance Alexis Phifer attended The Little Bendel Dress Event at Henri Bendel in New York. Below you can check out pictures of them at the event along with some other designers. In the picture of Alexis with the model, the model is wearing a "Ghita" dress which apparently is from Alexis' own line. I did a quick Google check to find out a little more on Alexis and "Ghita" and this is what I learned...
Alexis Phifer is a Los Angeles based designer, who acquired her passion for design at a young age. She received her degree in fashion design from Los Angeles design school, FIDM. Dreamgirls Oscar Performance...

The Vanity Fair Oscar Party
As you all know the Vanity Fair Party is the spot to be at after the Academy Awards. Under the cut you can check out pictures of all of the celebrities that made an appearance at the party. Celebrities spotted include Oprah, Mary J. Blige, Eve, Beyonce, Meryl Streep, Diddy, Kanye West, Naomi Campbell, Nicole Kidman, Will & Jada Pinkett-Smith and Tom Cruise. Looks like Mary took some of your advice and put make-up on her tattoos. They look lighter in these pictures. It also looks like Oprah ditched Gayle to hang with Mary and her husband Kendu. Eddie Murphy didn't pick up the Oscar for his role in "Dreamgirls" but congratulations to Jennifer Hudson for her Best Supporting Actress win. Congrats to Forest Whitaker as well for his Best Leading Male win and to all of the other winners awarded last night. I'm sure I'm not the only person who was surprised that Eddie didn't win but I wasn't surprised that "Dreamgirls" didn't pick up the Best Song Oscar. I knew that the 3 songs nominated for that one movie would divide the votes among Oscar voters, therefore leaving room for one of the other 2 songs to sneak in and steal the win. Russell Simmons' Diamond Event...
On Feb. 21st Russell Simmons had a tea in Beverly Hills to launch his "Green Initiative" jewelry. Celebrities at the event include Eva Pigford, Serena Williams and Sanaa Lathan. The purpose of the "Green Initiative" is to raise money for the Diamond Empowerment Fund. The Simmons Jewelry Company has designed and is manufacturing specialized Green Initiative jewelry. Green Initiative jewelry will be sold through Simmons Jewelry Company retail partners. Twenty-five percent of net proceeds from the sale of the Simmons Jewelry Company Green Initiative items will go to the Diamond Empowerment Fund (D.E.F.). Pictures below...

I bet a lot of you have been wondering what's been going on with the site. Well, I'm not dead, just busy, lol. I've had a lot of things to do and take care of outside of the site, plus I've been preparing to go to Las Vegas for All-Star Weekend. I tried updating the site in between doing all of that but it just hasn't been working out like that. Soooooo, I said all of that to say that for the rest of this week I'm going to take care of all the things I need to take care of outside of this site. I leave for Vegas on Friday and I will be returning on Monday. After that, I promise promise promise I will dedicate alllll of my time to the site. Ok, maybe not all of my time, but a lot of it, lol. Grammy Performances...
The 49th Annual Grammy Awards aired last night and like with most award shows that I watch, I was bored for the most part but there were some really good moments thrown in there. I really enjoyed both of Mary's performances and Christina Aguillera killed that James Brown's song. That girl can sang and she looked really pretty while doing it. That was my favorite performance of the night. I'm happy Ludacris picked up that award. Beyonce looked beautiful but her performance was boring. She didn't look like she was into it.
